Corporate Project Stories

Client:

The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore

Story:

The hotel invited me to create something special — a hand-embroidered gift for each of their wedding couples. Something they could take home, to remember the day not just in photos, but in thread.

Left to brainstorm, I couldn’t get the hotel’s facade out of my head. It was a beautiful neoclassical facade – the elegant symmetry, tall arched windows, decorative columns, and the soft, curved edges of its iconic corner. The goal wasn’t to replicate every detail, but to capture the feeling of the building — stately, welcoming, full of quiet grace.

The colours were chosen for elegance, grace and the auspicious “reds” in weddings.

The Final Touch:

To finish the piece, the embroidery was backed with a smooth, custom-cut round of wood — a thoughtful detail designed to protect the work and let it last a lifetime.

Each artwork was then signed off with a custom tag — hand-stamped, hand-sewn, and stitched on one by one. A small signature. A final touch. A reminder that every hoop passed through real hands — mine.
